New Orleans Personal Injury Lawyer Serving Orleans Parish

If you've been hurt in an accident, received a board complaint notice, or found yourself in a construction dispute, you need a trial lawyer who knows how New Orleans courts work — and how the other side builds its case against you.

I've practiced in Louisiana courts for 31 years, and I represent clients across Orleans Parish in Civil District Court and beyond. My office is in Metairie, minutes from the city, and I handle cases personally — the attorney you hire is the attorney who handles your case, start to finish.

What makes my background unusual is that I've worked on both sides of the disputes I now handle. Before representing injured plaintiffs, I worked as an insurance adjuster and then as insurance-defense counsel. I know the internal playbook insurers use to minimize payouts, and I use that knowledge to counter it. I also serve as disciplinary counsel to the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry — which means I understand exactly how licensing boards build cases, because I've built them. And as a licensed general contractor since 2003 who still owns a contracting company, I can read the work itself when a construction dispute lands on my desk.

That combination of inside experience is not something you'll find at most firms.

How I Help New Orleans Clients

Personal Injury — Car and Truck Accidents

If you were injured in a car accident or truck accident in New Orleans, you're likely dealing with medical bills, lost wages, and an insurance adjuster who is not working in your interest. I represent injured people in Orleans Parish and know how to push back against lowball offers and delayed settlements. My background as a former adjuster means I can anticipate exactly what the insurer is doing — and why.

Professional License Defense

A licensing board complaint can end a career. I defend dentists, contractors, and other licensed professionals before Louisiana regulatory boards. Because I currently serve as disciplinary counsel to the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry, I understand the investigative process, the procedural posture, and the arguments that actually move boards — not just the arguments that sound good. If you've received a complaint or notice of investigation, time matters. The board is already building its file.

Construction Litigation

New Orleans construction disputes — defective work, unpaid contractors, mechanic's lien problems — require a lawyer who can read the project, not just the contract. As a licensed general contractor, I can evaluate what actually happened on a job site and translate it into a legal argument that holds up in court. I represent both property owners and contractors in Orleans Parish construction litigation.

What New Orleans Clients Ask Before Hiring Me

  • Do you practice in Civil District Court in New Orleans?
Yes. I handle cases in Civil District Court for Orleans Parish, as well as courts across the greater New Orleans metro. My office is in Metairie, and I represent clients throughout Orleans Parish and the surrounding area.
  • What should I do immediately after a car accident in New Orleans?
Get medical attention first, even if you feel fine — symptoms from soft tissue injuries often appear hours or days later. Do not give a recorded statement to the other driver's insurance company before speaking with a lawyer. Adjusters are trained to use your own words to minimize your claim. Call me before you talk to them. I received a complaint notice from a Louisiana licensing board. How quickly do I need to respond? Immediately. Board complaints have strict response deadlines, and your initial response often sets the tone for the entire investigation. The board begins building its file the moment a complaint is filed. Waiting to retain counsel is one of the most common and costly mistakes licensees make.
  • Can you help me if a contractor did defective work on my New Orleans home?
Yes. I handle construction defect claims for homeowners and property owners throughout Orleans Parish. As a licensed general contractor myself, I can assess what the work should have looked like, where it failed, and what it will cost to correct — which puts me in a stronger position when negotiating or litigating your claim. Is your office in New Orleans? My office is in Metairie, in Jefferson Parish, which borders New Orleans directly. I represent clients across Orleans Parish and the surrounding metro area. Most consultations can be handled by phone or at the office — whichever is easier for you.
